N.Y. Times Gives Edwards High Marks

News for Immediate Release

For the second week in a row California for Edwards has received high remarks from the New York Times regarding our campaign. Featured in the article “Image vs. The Message: John Edward’s Ascent” by highly respected Times journalist Loren Shimanek, the Times noted the Senator’s growing presence in the Democratic campaigns as well as his ability to gain the young voters in this presidential election.

“The overarching message distinctive in Edwards' ad was that he wanted to get to know you. He may be the candidate that can fully embrace the ‘me’ generation by telling a bit about himself so you can relate... the war, the economy, the issues that real people, not corporate lawyers or wishy-washy lobbyists, but real people, with real self-images, that want to share themselves with someone who cares.”

Furthermore, Shimanek continues on stating, “John Edwards with image and message in tow will possibly be the best Democratic candidate, but only once people start looking with their ears and listening with their eyes.”
