After a strong performance in yesterday’s “Debate 2008,” media outlets around the nation are hailing Senator Edwards as nation’s best candidate for presidency. In all, numerous members of the press and news organizations all agreed it was Senator Edwards who, “gave the best performance today.”
“[Edwards was] Well spoken, poised, and always having a rebuttal” –Miranda Faber, New York Times.

“Edwards had a lot to say about every issue. He brought his game face and played the debate well...he spoke so much on every issue that he ran close to running out of time on each question. Nevertheless, he was poised, ready, and successful” –Stated on the New York Times Blog.
“He came prepared (like always). I am always in awe about how prepared he is. He not only knew his positions extremely well but knew his opponents' as well. Overall I think he gained the most out of the debate. He was memorable and did show off his knowledge” –TIME Magazine Blog on Edwards.
“I would say that Senator Edwards was most impressive” –California Secretary of State, Dr. Drew Halfmann.
“It was Senator John Edwards who had the best performance today. He remained composed and sure of his answers at all times” –Stated on the Davis Enterprise Blog.

NBC & Times Give High Remarks to Edwards
For the fourth time during the primary season the Edwards campaign has received high regards from the New York Times this week. Featured in an interview with NBC’s Fabian Gonzales, noted New York Times journalist Loren Shimanek gave his insight as to why he believes the South Carolina Senator is the candidate of choice for the Democratic nomination. Noting the Senator’s expertise and campaign objectives, Shimanek goes on to state the public has been following the campaign and takes note of his campaign policies.
Shimanek acknowledged the Edwards’ campaign ascent is also due to his opponents publicized shortcomings. “Senator Clinton tends to stumble upon her words and her policies, and Senator Obama just really doesn’t say much…” Furthermore, NBC News anchor Fabian Gonzales went on to state that Edwards is, “one of the most prepared candidates.”
The Edwards campaign looks forward to yet another successful and engaging event as they participate in Super Tuesday’s “Debate 2008” sponsored by FOX News.

Edwards Again “Shines” at News Conference
For the third week in a row, the media has reaffirmed Senator Edwards as the strongest candidate in a press conference. While participating in the “Focus the Nation” global warming press conference, various print and broadcast media outlets peppered Senator Edwards with questions about the Kyoto protocol, as well as his stance on nuclear energy. Senator Edwards confidently responded about his desires to draft a new international protocol to replace Kyoto because of the exclusion of developing nations from the current treaty, as well as the absence of China, India and the U.S. Regarding his stance on nuclear energy, Senator Edwards articulated the need for a greater investment in alternative energy sources – such as E85 (ethanol), wind, solar and biofuel – while citing statistics and case studies from Brazil and France to reaffirm his objectives.
Noted on today’s New York Times blog, journalist Jamie Puccetti referred to Edwards performance at the conference by stating, “Edwards shined; he does that, taking no prisoners and completely destroying the other Dems.” In addition, while other candidates provided statistics and figures without references, or avoided questioning altogether, Senator Edwards again came across as more than knowledgable in the issues of global warming and dedicated to his environmental convictions.

Edwards to Remain in CA Primary
News for Immediate Release
Despite the developments that have occurred in the national campaign, the California for Edwards campaign today has announced it will remain a contender in the Democratic Primary for the Golden State’s election occurring this Tuesday, February 5th. The campaign does not plan to withdraw from any of it’s already scheduled events – including the Global Warming press conference sponsored by the “Focus the Nation” nation-wide environmental initiative, as well as the highly anticipated “Debate 2008” sponsored by FOX News.
“Besides what has happened in New Orleans, I will remain a contender in the California Primary in order to remind the nation’s most populous state of the vital issues we as a nation must address in the times ahead. California and the spirit boldly embedded in the Golden State’s active and progressive citizenry must remain on the forefront of national change and Democratic engagement. Poverty, Universal Healthcare, Global Warming, education, etc., must be a significant catalyst for dialogue and civic participation in this election process and I intend full well to remain vocal even until Super Tuesday” remarked Greg Justice, candidate for California for Edwards.

N.Y. Times Gives Edwards High Marks
News for Immediate Release
For the second week in a row California for Edwards has received high remarks from the New York Times regarding our campaign. Featured in the article “Image vs. The Message: John Edward’s Ascent” by highly respected Times journalist Loren Shimanek, the Times noted the Senator’s growing presence in the Democratic campaigns as well as his ability to gain the young voters in this presidential election.
“The overarching message distinctive in Edwards' ad was that he wanted to get to know you. He may be the candidate that can fully embrace the ‘me’ generation by telling a bit about himself so you can relate... the war, the economy, the issues that real people, not corporate lawyers or wishy-washy lobbyists, but real people, with real self-images, that want to share themselves with someone who cares.”
Furthermore, Shimanek continues on stating, “John Edwards with image and message in tow will possibly be the best Democratic candidate, but only once people start looking with their ears and listening with their eyes.”
