Davis Enterprise Endorses Edwards Higher Ed Plan

News for Immediate Release

Profiling Senator Edwards “College for Everyone” higher education initiative, the Davis Enterprise has given high remarks to the Senator’s higher education plans in their January 30th edition. The Senator’s national college access program – initially launched in Greene Central, North Carolina – provides for tuition assistance to low income students willing to work part-time, and enroll in college prep courses their freshman year. The program targets those who would not normally pursue a post-secondary education, and has increased the college going rate in Greene Central from 54% to 74% in two years.

“Edwards’s educational dream is very large. His list goes on in ways he would like to provide higher education available to everyone. His College for Everyone has been very successful, and he has high hopes for success nation wide. If elected president, you can count on Edwards College for Everyone program to follow through and expand over the years.”
