News for Immediate Release
After a strong performance in last night’s presidential debate, Senator John Edwards continued his campaigning efforts in Nevada. Edwards spoke to over 1500 energetic supporters, promoting his “Standing With Working Families” tour. The tour will focus on Edwards’ dedication to the working class voters who will be so crucial in the upcoming election.
Edwards understands the challenges that these voters face, having been raised by working class parents who worked in textile mills in the rural Southern United States. For his entire career Edwards has focused on helping the common, working American, and insists that if elected president he will continue to do so. “To help hard-working families in Nevada and across America get ahead, we need a president who will fight for universal health care, smarter trade policies and a new energy economy. And to get real change, we need a president with the strength and conviction to stand up against the big corporations and powerful interests who control Washington."
Senator Edwards plans to continue to travel around Nevada for the next couple of days.
Additional media inquiries and requests can be addressed to Dan Nemiroff, Press Secretary for California for Edwards, at dpnemiroff@ucdavis.edu.
