New Campaign Ad Highlights Civil Rights

News for Immediate Release

Building upon the Senator’s long and admirable history with working for equality, the California for Edwards campaign today released a new advertisement highlighting the accomplishments and history of the Senator in the area of Civil Rights. The commercial features the many milestones and support Senator Edwards has received over his career while fighting for the equality and dignity of all Americans – whether in his legal or academic tenure.

The Senator’s presidential campaign received a significant endorsement this week as Martin Luther King, III – son of fallen Civil Rights hero Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – officially endorsed the Senator for the presidency. In a letter personally addressed to Senator Edwards, King noted the Edwards continuous and sole work with addressing the issue of poverty and opportunity would, “make my father proud.”
