Edwards Turns to South Carolina

News for Immeadiate Release

Press Release-1/20/08

After a humbling defeat in the Nevada primary in which John Edwards finished behind Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, Presidential hopeful John Edwards has turned his attention to the upcoming South Carolina primary. Senator Edwards has been in many tough situations before, such as his wife’s continuing battle with cancer and the loss of his first son Wade.

Thus, a third place finish in the Nevada primary is not enough to discourage Senator Edwards’ hopeful run towards the presidency. Although Senator Edwards has not yet won a state’s primary yet, South Carolina’s upcoming election date looks like a fortuitous opportunity. A reason for continued optimism in spite of the discouraging Nevada results is the campaign contributions that are continuing to trickle in. Even though it has been a rough weekend for Senator Edwards, there continues to be hope and optimism inside the Edwards camp with the upcoming South Carolina primary.
